Manage your account, understand your data, and get useful help
Keep your own ZMorning sign-in and profile current, understand which workplace settings and records belong
to an employer, solve common web or desktop problems, and share the right details when support is needed.
Where should I start?
Open Profile for your personal details, email, photo, or password. Use the privacy guide to
understand tracked records and visibility. Try the common-problems guide for a specific failure, or prepare a
concise support request when the issue still cannot be resolved.
Choose the right path
Account
Update your own access
Change your name, address, profile photo, verified email, or password from Profile.
Your email and password are sign-in credentials for your account.
Your Profile changes are not a separate copy for each employer.
A verified email change becomes the email used to sign in.
A social-login account can set a password to add email-and-password sign-in.
Employer relationship
Work settings and records stay employer-specific
The manager controls that employer's employee tracking settings.
Projects, task assignments, tracked time, activity, and screenshots retain their employer association.
Removing an employee relationship does not delete the person's entire account.
In the desktop app, the Client selector chooses an employer.
Use the correct account recovery workflow
You know the current password
Open Profile, choose Change Password, enter the current password, and set a new password of at least six characters.
You signed up with Google or LinkedIn
Profile lets an account without a password set one, adding email-and-password sign-in without removing social sign-in.
You forgot the password
Use Forgot password on the website. The desktop app does not provide its own password-reset flow.
You need to change the sign-in email
Profile sends a five-digit code to the new address. The displayed code expiry is ten minutes.
Understand workplace tracking data
Depending on the employer's settings and the work performed, ZMorning can store tracked time, task association,
minute-level keyboard and mouse hit counts, screenshots, and capture metadata. These records appear in
different review workflows; tracked duration and billing settings, rather than screenshots or activity counts,
determine work-invoice amounts. The product stores counts rather than the text typed or the screen coordinates clicked.
Before tracking
Check the employer and task
The employer selected in the desktop app determines which employer receives the new tracking records.
While tracking
Know which signals are enabled
Screenshot, keyboard-count, and mouse-count settings are configured per employee and employer relationship.
After tracking
Review retention locations
Screenshots may use default storage or an employer-connected Dropbox or Google Drive account.
Troubleshoot before contacting support
1
Identify where the issue occurs
Note whether it is on the website or desktop app and which page, employer, task, or action is involved.
2
Preserve the exact message
Copy the error text and record the date and local time rather than relying on a general description.
3
Check the relevant basics
Confirm sign-in, internet connection, selected employer, current task, and whether queued desktop records later synchronize.
4
Use the focused guide
Follow Fix Common Problems, then contact support with the results if the behavior continues.
Prepare a useful support request
Your ZMorning account email and, when relevant, the employer's account email.
The date, local time, and time zone of the problem.
The website page or desktop-app version involved.
The exact steps taken and the result that appeared.
The full error message, if one was shown.
A privacy-safe screenshot only when it materially demonstrates the issue.
