Understand the Dashboard and Navigation

Learn how to read ZMorning Overview metrics, use dashboard filters, switch views, and find tools available to managers and employees.

What is the ZMorning dashboard?

The dashboard is the web app used to organize work and review tracked results. Overview summarizes time, calculated amounts, productivity, and task status. The left navigation opens detailed areas such as Today, Projects, My Task, Employees, and account settings. Use the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning, or the employee view, shown as Employee in ZMorning.

Read the Overview metrics correctly

The four cards at the top summarize the current selection. Their values update when relevant filters change.

Total Bill or Total Earnings

In the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning, this is labeled Total Bill. In the employee view, shown as Employee in ZMorning, it is labeled Total Earnings. The amount is calculated from tracked time and the applicable employee rates.

Total Working Hours

The total number of recorded ten-minute work slots within the selected date and employee scope.

Average Productivity

The average relationship between tracked time and configured weekly contract hours for the visible employees and date range. It is not a keyboard or mouse activity score.

Tasks Completed

The current completed-task count for the selected employee and project scope. In the current dashboard, changing only the date range does not restrict this task count by completion date.

Use filters, charts, and the employee list

Date range

The default Overview period is the latest 30 days on an active Pro plan and the latest 14 days on the Free plan. Free-plan requests outside that range are adjusted back to the latest 14 days. Date changes update tracked hours, calculated amounts, productivity, and the Working Hours Distribution chart.

Employee and project

In the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning, you can select one employee or keep All Employees. Both views can select a project. The employee view, shown as Employee in ZMorning, is automatically restricted to the signed-in employee.

Working Hours Distribution

Compares tracked hours by project across the selected period. Time recorded without a task appears under Unassigned.

Task Completion

Shows the current balance of completed and pending tasks for the selected employee/project scope.

Employee Productivity

Lists hours, completed tasks, and the contract-hours-based productivity percentage. Managers can open an employee profile from this list.

Common questions

Why are some dashboard values zero?

Check the selected view or employer, date range, employee, and project first. Values can also remain zero until desktop tracking records have synchronized and employee rate or contract details have been configured.

How is dashboard productivity calculated?

Dashboard productivity compares tracked time with configured weekly contract hours across the selected period, then averages the visible employee percentages. It is not calculated from keyboard or mouse counts.

Why can I only select the latest 14 days?

The Free plan limits Overview history to the latest 14 days. An active Pro plan uses a 30-day default and permits longer date selections.

Why are Employees, Work Invoice, or Tracker Settings missing?

Those tools appear in the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning. Use Switch context from the top bar or account menu, then select Login as Client.

Where can I review screenshots and minute activity?

Open Today and select the relevant employee and date. Overview summarizes results but does not display individual screenshots or minute-by-minute activity.
