Reports and invoices

Review tracked work, then follow it through billing

ZMorning's Overview dashboard turns tracked time, tasks, contract hours, and billing rates into practical summaries. Invoices are created automatically from eligible tracked work after an employee's configured billing period closes, so managers can review the result instead of rebuilding it by hand.

Where are reports in ZMorning?

Use Overview for reporting. It contains date, employee, and project filters; billing and time totals; productivity and task summaries; project-hour charts; and an employee comparison table. The manager view also provides Invoices for reviewing automatically generated billing records.

Understand what the Overview filters change

Date range
Limits tracked-time calculations and project-hour charts to the selected dates. It also supplies the range used for productivity capacity.
Employee
In the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning, limits tracked time, billing, productivity, tasks, charts, and the employee table to one linked employee.
Project
Limits the visible project-hour series and task figures. It does not currently limit the headline tracked-time, billing, or productivity figures.

Read the figures using their real inputs

Tracked hours

Each stored ten-minute slot contributes ten minutes, including automatically tracked and manually added time.

Productivity

Tracked time is compared with weekly contract hours over the selected date range. It is not a keyboard or mouse activity score.

Earnings or bill

Tracked duration is valued with the applicable employee hourly-rate history. Weekly contract hours do not create or cap billable time.

Follow tracked work into an invoice

  1. Set the employee's billing details

In the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning, confirm the hourly rate, currency symbol, and configured billing cycle for the employee.

  2. Record eligible time

Desktop and manual ten-minute slots contribute to billing for that employee and employer, even when a slot has no task.

  3. Let the billing period close

ZMorning checks automatically every 24 hours and creates a Pending invoice when a completed period contains uninvoiced tracked work.

  4. Review and maintain the record

Open Invoices to confirm the employee, period, hours, rate, amount, and currency, then update its status and payment method as needed.

Reporting and billing are ready when

  • The selected date, employee, and project scopes are understood before figures are compared.
  • Productivity is read as tracked time against contract capacity, not as input activity or work quality.
  • Each employee has the intended hourly rate, currency symbol, and billing cycle.
  • Tracked slots appear under the correct employee and employer before the billing period closes.
  • Pending invoices are reviewed before their status and payment method are changed.
