Manage Your Subscription
Start and manage a ZMorning Pro subscription, including checkout, seat changes, monthly or yearly billing, cancellation, and renewal.
Where do I manage the ZMorning subscription?
In the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning, open Subscription from the dashboard navigation. This page shows the employer account's Free or Pro state and provides the available checkout, seat, billing-period, cancellation, and renewal controls.
Start a Pro subscription
Pro-
Choose Monthly or Yearly
On Subscription, select the Pro billing period you want and continue to checkout.
-
Confirm the number of seats
Checkout accepts one or more seats. Review the quantity and the per-seat period before continuing.
-
Enter billing details
Review the account email, then enter the billing name and optional company name. These profile values can be retained for later checkout use.
-
Review the order and terms
Check the selected period, seat quantity, and displayed subtotal. Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to enable payment.
-
Complete Paddle checkout
Select Pay now, review the final amount in the Paddle checkout overlay, and complete payment there.
-
Return to Subscription
After checkout completes, ZMorning confirms the transaction and also processes Paddle webhook updates to store the active plan, period, seats, and billing dates.
Read the current subscription state
- Plan
- Shows whether the employer account is using Free or Pro.
- Billing period
- For Pro, identifies Monthly or Yearly subscription billing. This is separate from an employee's work-invoice billing cycle.
- Seats
- Shows the quantity stored on the Pro subscription. Review it against the quantity the employer intends to pay for.
- Renews on
- For an active renewing subscription, shows the recorded future billing date.
- Renewal off / ends on
- Shows that automatic renewal is cancelled while Pro remains available through the recorded period end.
Change the Pro seat quantity
When Pro is active, use Manage Seats on Subscription. Enter at least one seat and select Update. The billing effect depends on whether the quantity increases or decreases.
Increase
Apply and prorate immediately
The request increases the subscription quantity immediately and asks Paddle to collect the prorated amount for the current period.
Normal decrease
Schedule for the next period
The lower quantity is scheduled for the next billing period without a mid-period charge. The displayed seat count can remain unchanged until Paddle applies the scheduled update.
Cancellation already scheduled
Apply without extra billing
For a cancelled-but-still-active subscription, a decrease is sent immediately with no bill for the change.
Switch between Monthly and Yearly
On the active plan card, choose Switch to Yearly or Switch to Monthly. ZMorning sends the current seat quantity with the target price and tells Paddle not to create a prorated charge for the switch. After a successful response, ZMorning records the selected period.
Cancel or resume automatic renewal
Cancel auto-renew
Keep Pro through the paid period
Select Cancel auto-renew on the active Monthly or Yearly card. ZMorning asks Paddle to cancel at the next billing period, records the subscription as cancelled, and preserves the period end.
Resume auto-renew
Remove the scheduled cancellation
Before the recorded end date, select Resume auto-renew. ZMorning asks Paddle to clear the scheduled change and returns the local status to Active after a successful response.
Troubleshooting
- Subscription is missing from the employee view
- Switch to the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning. Employees cannot manage the employer's plan.
- Pay now does not open checkout
- Confirm that the Terms and Privacy Policy checkbox is selected. Then check the internet connection and try again. A configuration error can also prevent Paddle from opening.
- Payment completed but Pro does not appear yet
- Return to Subscription and reload after a short wait. ZMorning uses both checkout confirmation and Paddle webhook events to update the plan.
- A seat decrease still shows the old quantity
- A normal decrease is scheduled for the next billing period, so the current stored quantity may remain until Paddle applies the change.
- Period, cancellation, resume, or seat update failed
- Reload Subscription and verify the current state before retrying. Avoid submitting the action repeatedly while the first request is still processing.
- Pro ended unexpectedly
- Review the stored end date and renewal state. A cancelled subscription returns to Free after its paid access period expires.
Frequently asked questions
Who can manage the employer's ZMorning subscription?
Subscription and checkout are available in the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning. The employee view, shown as Employee in ZMorning, redirects away from those billing pages.
What is the minimum Pro seat quantity?
Checkout and subscription updates require at least one seat. Review the intended quantity and the final Paddle checkout total before purchasing or changing seats.
When does a Pro seat increase take effect?
A seat increase is sent as an immediate subscription update with prorated billing for the remainder of the current period.
When does a Pro seat decrease take effect?
A normal decrease is scheduled for the next billing period without a mid-period charge. If cancellation is already scheduled but Pro remains active, the decrease is sent immediately without billing for the change.
Does cancelling auto-renew remove Pro immediately?
No. ZMorning requests cancellation at the next billing period and keeps Pro active through the recorded period end. The account returns to Free after that access expires.
Can I resume a cancelled Pro subscription?
Yes, while the subscription can still be resolved in Paddle. Select Resume auto-renew before the recorded end date to remove the scheduled cancellation.
Why can the final Paddle total differ from ZMorning's order summary?
The ZMorning summary is preliminary and currently displays tax as zero. Paddle determines the final amount and applicable tax in its secure checkout overlay.
