Download and Install the Desktop App
Download the current ZMorning installer and set up the employee desktop app on Windows, macOS, or Linux.
How do I install the ZMorning desktop app?
Open the ZMorning download page, choose Windows, Mac, or Linux, and wait while ZMorning prepares the current installer. Run the downloaded file using the instructions for your operating system below. A successful first launch opens the Employee Login screen.
Before you install
The app can be downloaded before your account is ready, but you need employee access to sign in and track work.
- Confirm whether the computer uses Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- Use a stable internet connection to download the installer and complete the first sign-in.
- On Windows, be prepared to approve an administrator prompt because ZMorning installs for the computer.
- Ask your manager to add you as an employee and provide access to your employee account.

Troubleshoot download and installation problems
- Secure verification could not load
- Check the connection, reload the download page, and try again. A browser extension or network filter that blocks verification scripts may need to allow the ZMorning page.
- The download did not start
- Check the browser's downloads list and permission prompts. Then select the platform button again to prepare a fresh temporary link.
- Windows asks for administrator approval
- The Windows package installs for the computer. Ask the computer administrator to approve it if you do not have permission.
- macOS cannot verify the app
- Remove that copy and download the current signed and notarized disk image from ZMorning. Do not bypass an unexpected verification warning.
- Linux will not open the AppImage
- Confirm that the file has executable permission, then try opening it again.
- ZMorning is running but the window is missing
- Check the system tray. Closing the main window hides it; double-click the ZMorning tray icon to show it again.
