Compare Free and Pro Plans

Compare ZMorning Free and Pro features for projects, Overview history, invoices, employee profiles, billing cycles, tracking settings, and screenshot storage.

Which ZMorning plan should I choose?

Use Free when two projects, the latest 14 days of Overview history, the latest five invoices, and the Weekly employee billing cycle cover the employer's workflow. Choose ZMorning Pro when the manager needs additional projects, historical reporting, older invoices, detailed employee profiles, saved tracker customization, additional employee billing cycles, or connected screenshot storage.

Understand how each limit behaves

Projects
A Free employer account can have two projects. When both exist, ZMorning blocks another project and presents an upgrade path. In the desktop app, a linked Client account represents the employee's employer, and its selector chooses an employer—not a workspace.
Overview history
Free requests are clamped to today and the preceding 13 days. Pro starts with today and the preceding 29 days, while allowing other historical ranges.
Invoice history
Free limits invoice lists, summary calculations, updates, and PDF access to the latest five invoices. Pro can use the full invoice history currently stored for the employer account.
Employee billing cycles
Free accepts Weekly. Pro also accepts Daily, Monthly, Semiannual, and Annually. This employee billing cycle controls work-invoice periods; it is separate from monthly or yearly ZMorning subscription billing.
Tracker settings
Free can open and review the employee's screenshot, keyboard-count, and mouse-count choices. Saving customized choices requires active Pro access.
Employee profiles
The employee list and its Edit action remain available on Free. Opening the detailed Employee Profile and its analytics requires active Pro access.

Know who can use plan controls

Compare and manage the employer's plan

Subscription and checkout are manager tools. The manager selects the subscription period and seat count, then manages renewal for that employer account.

Use the employer's available workflow

An employee cannot purchase or manage the employer's subscription. Web and desktop access follow the selected employer's current plan, assignments, tracking settings, and permissions.

Know what happens when Pro is cancelled or expires

  1. Cancel automatic renewal

Cancellation records that the subscription should not renew; it is not necessarily an immediate loss of Pro access.

  2. Keep access through the paid period

A cancelled Pro subscription remains active until its recorded period end or renewal date while that date is still in the future.

  3. Return to Free after expiry

After the paid access period ends, ZMorning applies Free plan gates when the affected pages are opened.

Check current pricing before purchasing

Plan prices and purchase terms can change independently of this guide. Review the live ZMorning Pricing page and the amount shown during checkout before confirming a purchase. Subscription billing can be monthly or yearly; this is separate from each employee's work-invoice billing cycle.

Troubleshooting

I upgraded, but a Pro feature still looks locked
Confirm that the subscription shows active under the intended employer account, then reload the page. If the account can use both views, switch to the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning.
Overview changed my Free date selection
Free always applies the 14-day range ending today. A request for an older date or a different end date is replaced with that allowed range.
I cannot open an older invoice
Free access is limited to the latest five invoices. Older invoice updates and PDF requests redirect to Subscription.
I can see tracker switches but cannot save them
The current Free workflow permits review but blocks saving customized tracking settings. Active Pro access is required to save changes.
An employee cannot find Subscription
Subscription belongs to the employer account and is managed from the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning.

Frequently asked questions

How many projects can I create on the Free plan?

A Free employer account can have up to two projects. Creating another project requires active Pro access.

How much Overview history is available on Free?

Free uses the 14-day window ending today. If you request an older start date or a different end date, ZMorning applies that allowed range instead.

Can a Free account review invoices?

Yes. Free can list, update, and download the latest five invoices. Access to older stored invoices requires active Pro access.

Does each employee need a separate ZMorning plan?

No. The employer account owns the plan. Linked employees work under that employer's available features and settings.

Does cancelling Pro remove access immediately?

Not when a future period end or renewal date remains recorded. A cancelled Pro subscription continues to count as active through that date, then the account returns to Free gates after expiry.

Where should I check the current Pro price?

Review the live ZMorning Pricing page and the amount displayed during checkout. This guide avoids hardcoding a price so it does not become outdated.
