Review and Remove Screenshots
Review screenshot galleries and private-storage placeholders, then safely remove a complete ten-minute slot when its time and images should be deleted.
Can I remove only one screenshot from Today?
No. Today currently provides a slot-level Delete action only in the employee view, shown as Employee in ZMorning. Confirming it removes the complete ten-minute slot, its recorded time, all minute activity rows, and every screenshot attached to that slot. Review the wider effect before treating it as an image-removal action.
Find screenshot records on Today
-
1
Open Today
Use the web dashboard navigation and select Today.
-
2
Choose the employee when available
In the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning, select or search for the employee. The employee view, shown as Employee in ZMorning, is fixed to the signed-in employee.
-
3
Select the work date
Use the date field or arrow buttons to load the day containing the capture.
-
4
Find the ten-minute slot
A slot with a regular stored image shows a thumbnail. A slot whose images all use private external storage shows a Dropbox or Google Drive placeholder.
-
5
Select the slot card
A screenshot-bearing slot opens the detail modal. A slot without screenshots does not currently open it.
Review the gallery with its work context
- Main image area
- Shows the selected regular-storage screenshot or a private-provider placeholder.
- Gallery thumbnails
- Switch among screenshot records attached to the slot, including separate images from an all-monitor capture.
- Tracked date and hour range
- Identify the selected workday and the clock hour containing the slot. The displayed hour total counts every slot in that hour.
- Task
- Shows the task selected for the desktop session. Manual time has no task name.
- Activity table
- Lists available per-minute keyboard and mouse counts for the same slot and shows its green and gray activity segments.
Understand previews and private-storage placeholders
ZMorning default storage
Regular image preview
Today can use the image as the slot thumbnail, the selected gallery image, and a gallery thumbnail.
Dropbox or Google Drive
Provider placeholder
Today identifies where the record was saved but does not show that private file as a regular image preview.

- Use Delete on an individual slot card.

- Deletion affects the whole slot, not one image.
Remove a screenshot-bearing slot
The current removal workflow is available only in the employee view, shown as Employee in ZMorning.
- Switch to the employee view, shown as Employee in ZMorning.
- Open Today and select the date containing the screenshot.
- Find the ten-minute slot card. Close the gallery first if it is open.
- Select Delete on the slot card.
- Read the confirmation: the slot, activity records, and screenshots will all be permanently deleted.
- Select Delete only if the complete ten-minute record should be removed.
- Wait for Today to refresh its slot cards and summary totals.
Understand what successful slot deletion changes
Time
Ten minutes are removed
The slot no longer contributes to Today, weekly time, reports, estimated earnings, or billing calculations.
Activity
Minute rows are removed
Every keyboard and mouse record attached to the slot is deleted with it.
Screenshots
All slot records are removed
Every screenshot database record attached to that slot disappears from ZMorning, not only the image that was selected in the gallery.
Distinguish ZMorning records from external files
Default S3 storage
ZMorning attempts object deletion
Before removing the slot records, the deletion workflow resolves and deletes each recognized S3 screenshot object. If that required step fails, the overall request reports a failure.
Dropbox or Google Drive
External object is skipped
The current helper does not delete provider files. ZMorning removes its slot and screenshot records, but the external object can remain in Dropbox or Google Drive.
- Confirm whether the slot used Dropbox or Google Drive before deletion.
- Delete the slot from ZMorning only when the time record should also disappear.
- Open the connected provider separately when its file must be removed.
- Follow the organization's retention, access, and recovery policy for provider-side deletion.
Troubleshoot screenshot review and removal
- Clicking the slot does nothing
- The current detail modal opens only for slots containing screenshot records. Confirm that the card has an image or provider placeholder.
- The gallery shows several images
- The slot can contain a multi-display capture or more than one capture record. Use the gallery thumbnails to review each item.
- Today shows a provider placeholder
- The record uses Dropbox or Google Drive. Today identifies the provider instead of displaying the private file as a regular preview.
- Delete is missing
- Delete appears only in the employee view, shown as Employee in ZMorning, for the signed-in employee's own slots. It is not available in the manager view, shown as Client in ZMorning.
- Delete failed
- The slot may no longer exist, authorization may have changed, or required S3 cleanup may have failed. Refresh Today before trying again.
- The Dropbox or Google Drive file still exists
- This matches the current deletion behavior. Remove the external file separately in the connected provider when policy requires it.
